Henry Cejudo made sure he had nothing left to give in the last fight of his illustrious MMA career at UFC 323.
The former two-division champion shined at UFC 323 in what was billed as his retirement bout as he went three thrilling rounds with blue-chip prospect Payton Talbott, ultimately losing a unanimous decision to the younger fighter. Talbott showed his friend and past training partner the greatest respect, meeting him toe-to-toe in the middle of the cage and even managing a takedown on the Olympic gold medal-winning wrestler.
Afterwards, Cejudo was honored with a tribute video and few can argue that he won’t go down as one of the best fighters ever to step into the UFC octagon.
Social media reaction from Cejudo’s peers reflected as much, with Alan Jouban dubbing Cejudo “a legend and a HOFer!” Given his incredible in-cage accolades, Cejudo’s future induction into the UFC Hall of Fame is all but guaranteed.
