Dave Coulier’s wife Melissa Bring has been by her husband’s side amid his health struggles.

Bring and Coulier had a meet-cute when the Full House star was on a boys trip in Montana, where Bring was born and raised. Coulier and his friends patronized the restaurant Bring worked at the time, and the pair collided.

“I was walking by and I accidentally hit him with my pen. It flipped out of my hands as I was twirling it,” she said during a September 2025 appearance on the “Water Your Garden” podcast. “We started bantering and he was like, ‘If you walk by again I’m going to trip you.’ I was like, ‘Ha ha’ and I walk back by and he trips me.”

Bring added that Coulier did catch her before she fell and the rest was history. The couple tied the knot in 2014. Since their wedding day, Bring and Coulier have supported one another through the good and the bad, including his health struggles. In December 2025, Coulier revealed he was diagnosed with HPV-related oropharyngeal tongue cancer — nearly one year to the date that he revealed he was battling stage III non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Melissa Bring Got Her Start as a Photographer

Bring was passionate about photography at a young age after receiving a camera as a gift.

“My Grandmother gifted me a camera at age 11, and I quickly developed a love for photography,” she said in an interview with VoyageLA in November 2019. “I used my siblings as my subjects for portraiture and tree bark for abstracts.”

After finding a love for capturing photos, she learned more about photography by taking several classes and submitting her work to fairs. She went on to study photography in college and later founded her venture Melissa Coulier Creative.

Melissa Bring Suffers From Lupus

Bring was diagnosed with Lupus in 2006.

“I was told upfront from the doctors that lupus is an [incurable] disease, and this is what you’re just gonna have to live with,” Bring said of first learning about her condition in a January 2024 interview with Seen magazine. “This is the pain you live with. This is just going to be your normal life.”

Years later, Bring connected with holistic nutritionist Melanie Samuels while Coulier was working on Fuller House. Samuels helped Bring treat her lupus via lifestyle and diet changes which helped improve her symptoms over the years.

“After three years, my body felt so good,” she recalled. “I mean, I didn’t even know that I would ever feel no pain in the morning. Or I’ve always had this extreme back pain, neck pain, joint pain, and the fact that I was waking up and I felt refreshed — I didn’t have this intense fatigue anymore. I felt like it had just been this miracle worker situation.”

Melissa Bring Now Works in Fitness and Wellness

After being inspired by her journey with holistic nutrition, Bring pivoted her career to focus on health and wellness. She has countless credentials in the space, including certifications as a Function First Pain-Free Movement Specialist, ACE Certified Fitness Instructor, Certified Brain Health Trainer, and ACE Senior Fitness Specialist.

Bring cofounded the wellness company Live Well Lead Well alongside Samuels. The women’s goal is to “revolutionize women’s health in leadership through holistic wellness,” per their organization’s website.

Melissa Bring Has Been Dave Coulier’s Caretaker Amid Cancer Battle

In November 2024, Coulier announced that he was diagnosed with stage III non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Bring has helped care for Coulier and used her knowledge in holistic nutrition to help him.

“We’re focusing on fueling his body with real whole foods, cutting out refined sugar & processed foods, spending time in nature, and incorporating infrared saunas, breathwork, and massages to support Dave’s strength and comfort,” she wrote via Instagram at the time. “Dave’s resilience inspires me every day, and together, we’re doing everything to support his recovery — with plenty of laughter to keep spirits high.”

The following year, Coulier was undergoing treatment for HPV-related oropharyngeal tongue cancer.
