American League vs National League (8:00pm, EST)

Tarik Skubal Under 1.5 Strikeouts: (-175) at FanDuel Sportsbook

After going through a rough start to the season, Tarik Skubal has wasted no time in his efforts of reminding the world that he is the best pitcher in the AL as the Detroit Tigers ace is currently averaging an ERA of 2.23, a WHIP of 0.826, and a FIP of 2.01.

His success on the mound stems from his aggression as he also averages less than one Hit Allowed and more than one Strikeout per Inning Pitched.

Skubal’s aggression may come back to bite him in an All Star game format as he is set to face off against some of the best contact hitters in the league. Other than Shohei Ohtani, Ronald Acuna Jr, Ketel Marte, and Freddie Freeman all average at least more Hits than Strikeouts per game and a Batting Average of .290 or higher.

With Skubal expected to throw for only one inning, back the under on his Strikeout prop.

Shohei Ohtani Over 0.5 Hit: (+100) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Speaking of Ohtani, positive regression looms large over the reigning NL MVP as his Strikeout Rate has not hindered his ability to make contact at a league leading pace.

As of writing, Ohtani leads the NL in Slugger Percentage and in OPS while generating a Batting Average of .276. With Skubal expected to remain aggressive in his efforts of painting the strikezone, expect Ohtani to punish him with a Hit.

Aaron Judge Over 0.5 Hit: (-105) at FanDuel Sportsbook

On the other side of the field, Aaron Judge has been in a tier of his own this season as he currently leads the entire league in Batting Average, On Base Percentage, Slugger Percentage, and in OPS.

While a plate appearance against Paul Skenes seems daunting on paper, it’s worth noting that the reigning NL Rookie of the Year award winner’s Strikeout Rate has dipped this season while averaging at least one Hit Against per Inning Pitched in his last three outings.
