Cole Palmer has gone into 33/1 to win the Ballon d’Or now after he helped seal the Club World Cup title for Chelsea on Sunday against PSG.

He not only scored the go-ahead goal, a brace eight minutes later but even assisted the third just before half time to stun almost everyone at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey and those watching around the world.

Cole Palmer is now 33/1 to land the Ballon d’Or 2025 but PSG’s Ousmane Dembele is still the odds-on favourite!

Chelsea have even been backed into 6/1 for the Premier League title after becoming World Champions and beating the European champions comfortably.

Chelsea had a mixed season in the Premier League last year, starting well but then with a bit of a lull, before picking back up at the right time to claim fourth.

It really coincided with Palmer’s drop in goals having scored so many in the first almost two thirds of the season.

Winning four of their last five games helped them secure Champions League football next season and that coupled with their Club World Cup success has seen them become 12/1 shots for the European trophy.

But he was still the stand-out player for the side throughout and still managed 15 goals and eight assists in 37 appearances.

Palmer also went joint-fifth in the Club World Cup player rankings with three goals in just six appearances, two of which were more crucial than any other as they came in the first half of the final.

The English attacking midfielder was also involved of course in securing the Europa Conference League.

Champions League 2025/26 odds

  • Liverpool 6/1
  • Barcelona 7/1
  • Real Madrid 7/1
  • Arsenal 8/1
  • Man City 8/1

  • Chelsea 12/1

Chelsea missed out on Champions League football last year but were dominant in winning the Europa Conference League.

They’re also hopeful that their big squad coupled with Enzo Maresca’s second season in charge will reap more benefits as he’s had plenty of time to implement his style now.

And when the likes of Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson keep finding goals they’re a tough side to defend against.

With Liam Delap up front now they also have another outlet with a strong target man that makes it difficult for defenders being so physical.

He’s been boosted by talkSPORT BET to score 15+ goals to 5/2.

As the striker netted 12 goals for Ipswich in their season of struggling in amongst relegation, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the English forward find even more chances and thus more goals next season.
