Kylian Mbappé scored his 400th career goal on Thursday night against Ukraine. The Frenchman was on fire.
On Thursday evening, during the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with the France national team, Kylian Mbappé netted a brace. He was even named man of the match against Ukraine (4-0), having played a pivotal role in France’s qualification for the next World Cup. Speaking to TF1 after the match, the Real Madrid striker reflected on his 400th career goal.

"We're getting closer, but as I’ve already said, there are two players—one with 950, another with over 900—so 400 doesn’t really impress. If you want to shock people, you’ll need to score at least 400 more. I’m very happy, it’s a symbolic milestone, but there’s still work to do. 1,000 goals? That’s unreal. CR7 shows us it’s possible, so let’s try for the impossible. A career goes by fast, so I’m trying to leave my mark," he declared.
