Former Blues midfielder Oscar might not be considered a Chelsea legend, but he certainly had some decent moments in Blue and the fans mostly seemed to like him and enjoy watching him play.
So this will come as sad news to many Blues fans this week as it appears he could be retiring from the game already at just 34-years-old.
He’s currently playing back in his native Brazil for Sao Paulo but it looks like his time there is coming to a premature end after feeling unwell recently.
Heart issue for Oscar
Although the information is pretty vague at the moment and we expect to hear more on it soon, All Things Brazil are reporting that Oscar was taken to Albert Einstein Hospital in São Paulo today after he felt unwell. Tests have revealed a heart problem.
It is understood that he will retire from football and focus on recovery.
And further information from them reveals that Oscar lost consciousness during a test on the training bike at São Paulo’s training centre today. He is currently in the ICU at Albert Einstein Hospital in São Paulo undergoing a series of cardiac tests.
