The Real Housewives of Orange County star Gina Kirschenheiter’s boyfriend, Travis Mullen, rushed to court pleading for temporary sole custody of the three kids he shares with his ex-wife, Meghan Mullen, Us Weekly can exclusively report.
On October 29, Travis, 40, who wed Meghan in 2010 and separated in 2016, filed court docs demanding an emergency order over the custody of their children: daughter Presley, born in 2011, daughter Bennett, born in 2014, and son Joseph, born in 2016.
Travis asked that Meghan no longer have joint legal and physical custody, an arrangement that has been in place since November 2021. He proposed that she have supervised visitation. He claimed Megan has not allowed him to see one of their kids since September 29.
He said, “I have reached out to local police to enforce the current order, but they have not been helpful. I am concerned for [the son’s welfare] and feel that the ‘system’ has completely failed him.”
“This behavior on the part of [Meghan] has been occurring for over a year and I feel that nobody is advocating [for his son]. I need assistance from the court to ensure that [his son’s] needs are met, that my son and I continue to have a close and loving relationship.”
He claimed Meghan had frequently failed to bring one of their kids to school.
In his filing, Travis claimed the school officials threatened to take the matter to the District Attorney if things didn’t change.

Travis previously asked the court for sole custody in March but his emergency request was denied. After his previous request was denied, Travis said he reached a deal with Megan to have a child custody evaluator complete an evaluation that would be submitted to the court.
On Thursday, October 30, Meghan filed court docs opposing Travis’ request. She said, “Travis continues to misuse the court process to get his way.”
“His [court] filings appear intended to punish and control me, not to protect the children. Travis is using the family court system as a tool of coercive control and retaliation,” Megan added. “In addition to litigation abuse.”

She claimed that the son in question chose not to spend time with Travis and denied she was blocking any interaction. Meghan claimed she is in contact with their kid’s school about the absences.
Megan also alleged that Travis does not allow the kids to call her during her scheduled call time.
“The children are exposed to comments … about their private lives due to the public nature of Travis’ media appearances,” Meghan claimed.

In a separate filing, Travis denied Meghan’s allegations. He claimed that he was not trying to control her but was “deeply concerned” about their child. He denied her claims that he had tampered with her social media accounts or that their children were afraid of him.
“If [Meghan] really believed any of our children were afraid of me, why hasn’t she sought emergency orders?” Travis asked. “Why does she allow our two older children to come stay with me during my custodial time? The fact is that none of [Meghan’s] allegations are true.”
Travis denied that he blocked their kids from speaking to their mom. “This is another false allegation offered by [Meghan]. It was actually [Meghan] that would deny me phone contact with the children. Further, I have never punished the children for wanting to talk to their mother, and never said that they could not call their mom.”
In regards to The Real Housewives of Orange County, Travis denied Meghan’s claims their kids were affected by his appearance.
