Huddersfield managed to return to winning ways in emphatic style with a 6-2 triumph over Newcastle U21 in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday night following their 3-1 defeat at Barnsley in a Yorkshire derby in the league last weekend.

Peterborough have experienced a disastrous opening month of the new season and make the trip to West Yorkshire this weekend sat rock bottom of the League One table and with seven wins and a solitary draw from their eight matches in all competitions this season.
Darren Ferguson’s side will be desperate for the first win of the season this weekend having lost at home against Leyton Orient in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday night.
The Cambridgeshire side are the joint-lowest scorers in the third tier so far having found the back of the net only twice in their six league matches so far this season, and only once in their last five games – a record they’ll be needing to put right to have any chance to close the gap to safety, which currently stands at two points.
Peterborough have won only one of their last five matches against Huddersfield though that victory did come in their most recent meeting with the Terriers, in West Yorkshire just seven months ago.
The Posh’s problems won’t get any easier this weekend as they visit the home of a Huddersfield side expected to be very much in the promotion picture come the end of the season, and are heavy underdogs ahead of their trip north. A 2-0 home win seems a sensible shout.

Huddersfield forward Joe Taylor is expected to be involved from the start this weekend after being taken off the pitch less than an hour into Tuesday night’s thumping of Newcastle U21 in the EFL Trophy having bagged two goals and an assist to help the Terriers to a 6-2 victory.
The 22-year-old will be eager to impress against his old club this weekend, and his brace in midweek now takes the Welshman to four goals for the season, twice as many as his next best teammate.

Huddersfield are the joint-highest scorers in League One heading into this weekends match and are yet to concede a league goal at home, while Peterborough are the joint-lowest scorers which implies a fairly comfortable victory for the hosts on Saturday, probably with a clean sheet too.
