Another opinion swirls around Sydney Sweeney's upcoming project.
The actress is set to star in a biopic about Kim Novak's love life with Sammy Davis Jr., and the legend herself has a few reservations about how things will be interpreted.
Sydney Sweeney has unfortunately been on a box office flop run with her new movie releases, amid the public backlash that trailed her American Eagle campaign last month.
Kim Novak Expresses Concern Over Sexual Undertone Of Her Biopic
Now that her highly publicized relationship with the American singer is about to be the focus of Sweeney's new project, Novak is worried about the possible outcomes. The actress clarified that her romance with Davis Jr. was, first of all, far from scandalous, a far cry from the title of the biopic "Scandalous."
Novak stressed that the singer was someone he genuinely had affection for, and they had so much in common, revolving around their need to be accepted for who they are and what they do, rather than their appearance.
Per Page Six, Novak shared concerns that the producers, actors, and directors may decide to make their story all about the sexual reasons.
Sweeney will play the character of Novak alongside British star David Jonsson, who will play the role of Davis Jr. The project, yet to be filmed, has actor Coleman Domingo in the director's seat.
Sydney Sweeney Addressed The Backlash That Trailed Her Soap Release

Months before Sweeney's American Eagle ad dropped, she struck a nerve when her team debuted her new commercial venture.
The actress and Dr. Squatch formed a partnership to release a limited-edition soap bar that included pine bark extract, exfoliating sand, and a dash of Sweeney's bath water.
Sweeney had boasted in a press release announcing her partnership that her decision to infuse bath water in her soap came following fans' requests. When the product eventually dropped, opinions trickled in on the venture, with critics slamming it as shallow and poorly thought out.
The TV star clapped back at the ill comments, stating that she found what the girls had to say very interesting, especially after they all loved the idea of Jacob Elordi's bath water in "Saltburn."
Inside Sweeney's Box Office Disappointments

August closed on a rather unimpressive note for the actress' creative endeavors, following the failure of her project "Eden" to exceed its $50 million budget in box office earnings.
As shared by The Blast, Sweeney's latest movie launched towards the end of last month in over 600 theatres worldwide and amassed a paltry $1 million in earnings.
It also garnered a 55% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, despite its all-star cast, which includes Vanessa Kirby, Felix Kammerer, Toby Wallace, and Richard Roxburgh.
The "Eden" box office flop seemingly replicated that of "Americana," which garnered just $500,000 on its opening weekend, despite a $19 million production budget.
The movie, formerly titled "Origin of Species," initially featured Daisy Edgar-Jones as its lead actress till Sweeney replaced her two years ago.
The TV Star Is Keeping The Noise Where It Belongs, Right Outside

Sweeney has built a reputation for herself in the movie industry, particularly in her response to criticism. The actress either carefully selects her words or just maintains total silence.
In the days after her American Eagle ad, where she got creative with "genes" and "jeans," thus sparking theories of racism and white supremacy to emerge, the actress has remained unfazed.
She carries the same energy into her professional life, with her eyes on the prize and doing everything humanly possible to ensure her projects yield tangible results.
"I definitely have a hard time sitting on set in a chair. I just want to ask, what's the budget? What's our line item? Where can we make things run better?" Sweeney explained in a previous interview.

In her personal life, things are also becoming controversial, after a recent outing with Braun in Europe sparked reports of a romantic relationship. The Blast stated that Sweeney had recently ended her six-year-old relationship with Jonathan Davino, which almost led them to the altar.
An insider confirmed that the former music manager had confided in those close to him about his new romantic arrangement with Sweeney, with warnings that it should be kept discreet.
The actress was previously linked with her "Anyone But You" co-star, Glen Powell, following their striking chemistry on the movie set. However, she shut down the reports, noting that they have so much respect for each other and their attitude toward work.
One thing is sure: Sydney Sweeney will absolutely kill her role as Kim Novak!
