Savannah Chrisley is opening up about being criticized as a "MAGA Barbie," admitting that she doesn't owe Donald Trump complete allegiance.

The 28-year-old media personality’s parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, received a presidential pardon in May 2025, bringing an end to their 19-year sentence for tax fraud.

Despite the huge favor granted to the Chrisleys, Savannah isn't entirely on board with all that the Trump administration stands for.

In a recent interview on Entertainment Tonight, Savannah denied having any obligation toward the president.

When the former pageant queen was asked if she felt like she “owed the president anything now,” without mincing words she responded, “Not at all.”

Savannah shared that it was not a tit-for-tat situation, and there was no deal in exchange for her parents’ pardon.

“It’s so funny the narratives people come up with, that like there was a deal for this, like I agreed to do x, y, and z if he agreed to pardon them. That was never a conversation,” the “Sassy by Savannah” owner elaborated.

“I have fought my way to the top, and I will always be outspoken about my conservative values and beliefs,” she stated firmly.

The “Chrisley Knows Best” star stated categorically that, though some of her values may align with the president, she did not agree completely with him.

“I have said, I have goals to challenge the administration on certain things that they are doing that I may not agree with and work on things that I think could be better,” she declared.

Even though Savannah has made it clear she has her own voice and would do things her way, she does not dismiss the president’s role in her parents’ release and expresses her gratitude for it.

As reported by The Blast, the reality star recounted how she felt about President Trump’s win in the November 2024 general election.

She shared that she watched the election with her brother, Grayson Chrisley, and they both “started sobbing” when they saw that the president won.

"And he just grabbed me and hugged me because we knew that was our only way out," Savannah confessed.

Savannah and Greyson were not the only Chrisleys who felt that way about Trump’s victory. Todd shared that the news also overjoyed him and the other inmates.

"When they finally announced that he was the winner, everyone there started screaming and yelling because they knew, they felt in their spirit that if President Trump wins this election, there's hope for all of us," the patriarch revealed.
