Brandon Blackstock had been dating Brittney Marie Jones in the years preceding his death.
“Brandon and Brittney were in a relationship, and his family was very happy and supportive,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in August. “Brandon was very private, especially after leaving the entertainment industry, but his family embraced his relationship with Brittney.”
Blackstock split from ex-wife Kelly Clarkson, with whom he shares two children, in 2020. They finalized their divorce in 2022 before the former music manager relocated to Montana with Jones by his side.
Us confirmed on August 7 that Blackstock had died following a three-year battle with melanoma. He was 48.
In addition to Jones, Blackstock is survived by his parents, his siblings, his four children and his grandchildren. (Blackstock and Clarkson shared River Rose and Remington, while he shared Savannah and Seth with ex-wife Melissa Ashworth.)
