Domestic football in the UK is up and running this weekend and Sunday provides Community Shield, Championship and Scottish Premiership action to look forward to.
Crystal Palace and Liverpool face off at Wembley in the Community Shield, while Leicester City begin life back in the Championship with a home game against Sheffield Wednesday.
North of the border Aberdeen against champions Celtic provides the third selection and longshot for Sunday’s schedule.

Bet of the day
Crystal Palace double chance @ 13/10
Starting with the curtain-raiser to the Premier League season at Wembley, as FA Cup winners Crystal Palace face league champions Liverpool in the capital.
Oliver Glasner’s men entered the FA Cup final as clear underdogs against Manchester City last season, yet they delivered a shock at Wembley, toppling Pep Guardiola’s star-studded side 1-0.
The Eagles had to survive some nervy moments against the Citizens, but Eberechi Eze’s decisive strike ended Palace’s long wait for a major trophy.
That triumph underlined the London club’s ability to go toe-to-toe with any opponent and their recent record against Liverpool makes for encouraging reading.
Palace have lost only two of their last six meetings with the Reds, claiming one win and three draws in that run.
With that resilience in mind, and aiming to push this Community Shield clash at least into extra-time, the Eagles look a tempting option in the double chance market.
Special of the day
Leicester City v Sheffield Wednesday: Bet Builder – Leicester City to win, over 2.5 goals and Jordan Ayew to score anytime @ 31/20
Given there was some debate whether Sheffield Wednesday could fulfil this fixture, it’s hard to see anything but a convincing Leicester City win at the King Power Stadium.
The off-field issues at Hillsborough have been one of the big stories over the summer, with reports suggesting wages are behind on both players and staff.
Pulling out of a pre-season friendly against Burnley last week, the Owls are ill-prepared for Sunday’s trip to the East Midlands.
Leicester have the firepower to win this game, which should have over 2.5 goals at the home of the Foxes.
Against a Wednesday defence that could be forgiven for a lack of motivation given the financial plight at the club, Leicester forward Jordan Ayew is good value to strike.
Ayew scored the opener in Leicester’s 2-0 win over Fiorentina last week and the Ghanaian can find the back of the net again on Sunday.
Long shot of the day
Aberdeen v Celtic – Draw and both teams to score @ 5/1
Premiership champions Celtic were far from convincing in their opening game against St Mirren and they might drop their first points of the season on Sunday at Aberdeen.
Requiring an 87th-minute goal from Luke McCowan to scrape past St Mirren, it was hardly a flying start from the Hoops at Parkhead.
Aberdeen were wasteful in their 2-0 defeat at Hearts and they created enough good chances to get something from that game at Tynecastle.
The Dons earned two scoring draws against Celtic in the Premiership and in the Scottish Cup last season and the 5/1 as a longshot on Sunday appeals here.
